Leggings are not pants and should not be worn as such. But...if you're going to break the rules, then at least "drop it like it's hot". I present to you: a picture of me/my closet wearing h&m star leggings and keds. Nothing spells out 'summer' better than an outrageous getup. (Note: I have never worn this outside the house yet, but I am seriously contemplating it.)
It was love at first sight, with this Pucci-print one piece bathing suit. I have to make beach-basking plans pronto, so I can show off this lovely find.

Aw, you look so adorable in your leggings outfit. I'm pretty much down with leggings as long as they are not worn under skirts and aren't cut off halfway down the calf.
The legging outfit surprisingly looks good, I'm guessing because your thighs are the size of your calves? Major leg envy going on right here.
And the Pucci suit is gorgeous! You can only get away with prints like that in the bright sunshine, perfect for the beach.
I used to have a bikini in that same print when I was 7. I miss that bikini...though at the time I hated it because everyone else had swimsuits and I was a bit like the pool slut.
Go for it! Loads of people in England wear their leggings like that, and I think it looks great. You definitely have the figure for it!

Wearing leggings in public is a funny thing, ultimate comfort and it makes you feel so much better (not wearing pants!!!) but then you do a double take and think... err.. VPL!!!!

The Pucciesque bathing suit is amazing...such a world apart from the generic hibiscus/hawaiian print bikinis you see everywhere.
